Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms are a starting point and will be expanded before broad launch. By using OpenTaper you agree to the following.
1. OpenTaper is a directory, not a medical provider
OpenTaper lists licensed prescribers who specialize in medication tapering. We do not provide medical care or medical advice, we do not handle appointments, and we are not a party to any relationship between a patient and a provider. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider before making changes to your medication.
2. No patient accounts
Patients use the directory freely without an account. Provider listings are informational; OpenTaper does not endorse, guarantee, or warrant any provider's services or outcomes.
3. Provider listings
Providers are responsible for the accuracy of the information they submit and for maintaining valid licensure. OpenTaper verifies state licenses before a profile is published and may suspend or remove a listing at its discretion.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the directory — including scraping for resale, attempting to disrupt the service, or misrepresenting your credentials.
5. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
